Who this policy covers

HANGAR Media and Events (“HANGAR”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website at hangarmediaco.com and is the data fiduciary responsible for personal data collected through it. This policy explains how we handle that data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 together with the rules made under it. By submitting information through this website, you confirm that you have read and understood this policy.

Personal data we collect

Information you provide. When you submit the contact form, we collect the name, organisation, email address, phone number, venue or location, event date, and the message you choose to share.

Information collected automatically. For security and routine operation, our servers log technical data such as your IP address, browser and device user-agent, the approximate country derived from your IP, and a timestamp.

Security verification. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell humans apart from automated bots. Turnstile may set a token or cookie and process limited technical signals solely to complete that check.

Why we process it

We process personal data only to respond to and assess your enquiry, prepare and discuss a proposal, perform a project if you engage us, meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and protect the website against misuse. We rely on the consent you give when you submit the form and on the processing necessary to provide what you have asked for.

We do not use your personal data for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it.

Who we share it with

We do not share personal data with marketing networks. A limited set of service providers process data on our behalf, strictly to run the website and reply to you: Cloudflare (hosting, security, and bot protection) and Resend (transactional email delivery). These providers act under their own terms and may store or process data outside India; we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains adequately protected. We may also disclose data where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to establish or defend legal claims.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained for up to twelve (12) months for follow-up, then deleted or anonymised. Records relating to an engagement are retained for the period required by applicable Indian tax, accounting, and limitation-of-claims law, after which they are deleted.

Your rights

As a data principal under the DPDP Act you may request access to a summary of the personal data we hold about you; request its correction, completion, or updating; request its erasure; nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, write to our Grievance Officer at [email protected]. We respond within the timelines prescribed by law, and in any event within thirty (30) days. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.

Grievances

If you are not satisfied with how your personal data is handled, contact the Grievance Officer, HANGAR Media and Events, at [email protected]. If your concern remains unresolved, you may escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India as constituted under the DPDP Act.

How we protect it

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and automated abuse protection — to guard personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The website and our services are directed to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect the personal data of children. Where processing of a child’s data is necessary, it will be undertaken only with verifiable parental consent as required by the DPDP Act.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes affecting an active engagement will be communicated to you directly.
